Inspiration

To combat the spreading of misinformation and lack of awareness about the current COVID-19 pandemic in our home country Indonesia, we were inspired to build a website that is easily accessible and convenient to use, containing all the relevant and necessary information regarding this pandemic.

What it does

Ayok Berhenti COVID-19 is an all-in-one Jakarta-centered COVID-19 information website. Our main features include a Vaccine Eligibility Checker, a COVID-19 Symptoms Checker, and a Vaccination Location Finder (all based on reliable information). We also have a page dedicated for further reading with links to information such as basic COVID-19 Information and Prevention tips.

All the information researched for this project, including the questions for the Vaccine and Symptom Checker were adapted from real questionnaires provided from the Indonesian healthcare system.

How we built it

We built it with Javascript, HTML, CSS and PHP.

Challenges we ran into

Since our team had little experience with Javascript, PHP, HTML and CSS, we were not able to build most of our ideas, including the use of APIs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The completion of the project, especially with languages that we have little experience in.

What we learned

We learned that a lot of work goes behind a website, and in multiple languages too. We also learned how to collaborate, especially in an online environment.

What's next for Ayok Berhenti COVID-19 by Team ABC

We aim to expand our horizons, improving the website in general, adding new features such as connecting users to medical professionals. We are also planning to focus on the mental health aspect, as it is known that mental health levels are deteriorating in these trying times. We can also add the indonesian version to make the website more accessible for Indonesians.
