Inspiration
We learned that Axolotls were going extinct so we decided to make a game to bring awareness.
What it does
This game rewards our currency of shrimp after clicking our image. Then, there are many different methods of investing this shrimp to grow your income quicker. This game informs you about Axolotls and niche facts surrounding them as you play.
How we built it
We built it using Javascript, Html, and CSS
Challenges we ran into
Organizing the tasks for each of the group members was a large obstacle. Beyond that, implementing the shrimp investments and animating our sprites took a lot of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of achieving the goals that we set for each other and that we were able to correctly fix all of the bugs we encountered. There were many moments we sought to remove a proposed feature but after brainstorming as a group, we solved all of our issues.
What we learned
We learned more information about Styling, how to properly use Github, and how to program collaboratively using Visual Studio Code.
What's next for Axolotl Aggregation
We can add more depth to the investment options. We could also add more achievements centered around gameplay. More variety in the animations would be nice as well. Also, adding the ability to save and load data would be cool.
