Purpose and inspiration

I have built a website Axelerate.space with the purpose of finding random activities for people to do. On the website, you can see the content that fills up automatically, a random activity generator with fun challenges to complete, multiple pages that will give you ideas on what to do, and more! There are activities, games, books, movies, and learning resources sections on the website, they truly say everything for themselves. I was inspired by quarantine boredom :).

Challenges

During the time I have been building this website, I encountered several problems. First of all, the website didn’t go live for about 6 hours, which scared me. It turned out I made a small mistake, but the process was correct. After that, I had some issues with my JavaScript code. It wouldn’t work no matter what I did. I worked on it for an hour to solve the problem! Thirdly, building a functional website in one day is no easy feat. I stayed up late, but I hope this hasn’t affected my performance on this week's Hackathon!

My website was built in the languages HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript. The domain name axelerate.space was acquired on Domain.com with the coupon code CLASSOF2020.
