Initial idea came from Melanie Andrade.

In large cities, people are often victimized in public spaces. In NYC, 86% of women reported experiencing harassment or assault. To address this, a wearable device is proposed that can detect proximity and trigger an alarm, sending emergency contacts the user's location and live geo-tracking. This device could increase safety for vulnerable individuals. To integrate with wearable devices like the Apple Watch, a downloadable script with customizable commands and hand/wrist gestures is available. It has similar functionality to the Apple Watch's controls, and can also be accessed through the "Find My iPhone" function. The sound and script can be deactivated by the user through a motion, vocal, or physical command.

Technology used to build was Figma, although initially when we were a team of 2, we were going to use Arduino, Arduino IDE, Tinkercad, as well as Figma. A mentor had also recommended using Twilio for an API integration but I ran into computer difficulties which set me back about 5 hours of work.
