Inspiration

Avoid Humans. Eat Cake is inspired very much by the arcade high-score chasers I played when I was little. My intention here is to capture this arcade feel on mobile, with mobile-centric controls.

What it does

Avoid Humans. Eat Cake is a high-score chaser where you play an office worker who must avoid his co-workers at a workplace party and focus on eating cakes.

Challenges we ran into

  • Figuring out the design of the floating virtual joystick and how to compensate for the lack of textile feedback on a touch screen
  • Having no prior experience with typescript and Redis and having to figure out how to build a daily leaderboard

Having a fully playable prototype with a variety of cakes!
