We wanted travel planning to feel as easy as telling an assistant what kind of trip you want. Aviato helps plan trips through conversation, searches flights and hotels, and updates a visual dashboard with destinations, dates, and approved selections.
Aviato combines a TypeScript AI agent, Django backend, and React frontend. Connecting them reliably—and handling approvals, authentication, and messaging limitations—was a key challenge.
We’re proud to turn a conversation into a trip plan, complete with destination details and a runway animation when the plan is ready. We learned how important clear boundaries are between the agent, backend, and frontend.
Next, we plan to improve itinerary persistence and support more travel options.
