Inspiration

We were inspired by SchoolAI.com and the idea of making high-quality, AI-powered education accessible to anyone. We wanted to create a platform where learning feels personal, interactive, and measurable.

What it does

Aviato lets instructors publish courses into Spaces that students can subscribe to. Each course is generated from a simple topic and includes a roadmap, reading material, slides with narration, interactive Q&A, and quizzes that unlock new chapters. Instructors can track progress, quiz scores, and weak areas where students need extra attention.

How we built it

We combined large language models for content generation, text-to-speech for narration, and a web framework for hosting Spaces. Data is stored in a structured format for easy caching, persistence, and progress tracking. The instructor dashboard aggregates student performance so teachers can see where learners are thriving or struggling.

Challenges we ran into

• Designing quizzes that are both fair and aligned with objectives
• Keeping generated slides clear and concise without overwhelming learners
• Ensuring progress tracking worked smoothly across multiple sessions

What we learned

We learned the importance of clear instructional design when using AI. It’s not enough to generate content — it has to be structured, interactive, and supportive of different learning styles. We also saw how much students value immediate feedback and personalized correction.

What's next for Aviato

• Adding support for group learning and peer discussions inside Spaces
• Expanding the instructor dashboard with deeper analytics and recommendations
• Supporting more media formats like videos and interactive simulations
• Building a marketplace so instructors can publish and monetize their Spaces
