Inspiration

When my younger brother was playing football with his friends, he came home saying his head hurt. After he visited the nurse, he was told he didn't have a concussion, but after a few days he came back saying his head was still hurting. Unfortunately, this misdiagnosis is all too common and the CDC estimates that about one in three students are never diagnosed with a concussion. This lengthens recovery time and can even lead to long term damage.

We've organized a pilot at our Fairfax County Public Schools, and will be distributing these out to high school athletic trainers to assist concussion diagnosis.
