Inspiration

Learning and building with AI has been quite fascinating for us. We wanted to explore and build with latest AI models and learn to use APIs provided by platforms such as Replicate.

What it does

Pixels lets you generate cool avatars from your profile pictures using AI. Users can upload their images and enter a prompt, and then the AI would generate avatar for it.

How we built it

We built this project using Next 13 and Tailwind CSS for frontend and Replicate SDK for making post requests to AI models running in cloud.

Challenges we ran into

Building a working prototype in weekend was fun as well as challenging at the same time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We enjoyed building this project during MLH hackathon and proud to present our project to the judges.

What we learned

We learned to work with different AI models and working with images buffers in web browsers.

What's next for Pixels

We plan to explore and learn more about upcoming AI models and keep building and contribute to space in meaningful ways
