Inspiration

Wearables are very beneficial but it does not come cheap. We want to change this and introduce low cost wearables especially in sports and in health care.

What it does

It provides arm and knee binding and speed data to athlete that can help them to improve their game on their own. It also helps in monitoring and rehabilitation of medically restricted patients.

How we built it

We built it using pair of Photon and LSM303DLHC. LSM303DLHC provides 3-axis accelerometer and magnetometer data which is used to calculate roll, pitch and yaw. This data is then provided to Matlab GUI application over Wi-Fi.

Challenges we ran into

Photon is relatively new as compare to other processor board.. We face lots of difficulty due to restricted wifi access.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Under 24 hours be we built a workable prototype completely from scratch, that we really believe can be actually converted to marketable product in the future.

What's next for "AV-AUXILIUM"

The product can benefit from 9DOF IMU for improve in results. Xbee or bluetooth modules for data transmission. We would also like to develop mobile App for better portability.
