Inspiration
We were inspired to create a tool to create a daily schedule to maintain productivity and combat procrastination.
What it does
Our Program lets you add Tasks and Events to our digital Calendar and have an AI assistant help organize your schedule.
How we built it
We decided to use C# and WPF for the UI and front end app based on what we were familiar with, and we settled on CockroachDB as our backup solution after evaluating the recommended technologies.
Challenges we ran into
The UI elements proved to be more challenging to make then expected leaving us unable to implement many planned features in logic and back end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Integration of Business logic with UI in front end worked wonderfully with very minimal adjustments required
What we learned
Our different members came to this hackathon with different skills so we each learned something different. One team member learned how and why to use git and GitHub, another team member learned about the datetime library and timekeeping and the last member learned about different hosting solutions.
What's next for AutoScheduler
On top of general polish especially in terms of visuals integrations with Google Calendar and other apps should be added. Allowing login with external providers would be natural following this since OAuth is already implemented. Following that more settings and customization options to make the app work better for you.
