Our inspiration stems from the fusion of real time traffic data and image processing to gain deep insights into the financial revenue understanding of auto companies.
What it does
AutoProfit Projections leverages real time traffic data to predict the financial performance of auto companies and forecast future revenue trends.
How we built it
Our project development was divided into three key components: data collection, processing, and visualization through a web service.
Challenges we ran into
Our traffic camera data became useless once the sun set. Working around this problem we had to create multiple different alternatives to create a dataset large enough to train from. A lot of the tools we used such as Scrapy were very difficult to use.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We've gained a fundamental understanding of the tools in our toolkit and are actively working on an AI driven application for our website.
What we learned
Our journey involved mastering a multitude of new tools, enhancing our skill set significantly.
What's next for AutoProfit Projections
The potential for scaling this technology to serve banks and offering it as a paid service to the general consumer for a comprehensive understanding of auto industry data is on the horizon.
