Inspiration

The main inspiration for our project is the new Tesla Autopilot update, which made the full self driving feature much safer and human-like. Full self driving is so good, that it can bring a person from one place to another without moving anything. Another inspiration was our interest in electrical cars.

What it is

This project is a game about an innovative electric car that wants to learn self driving, but the evil oil corporations are trying to stop the car because then it will go out of business. (Which is happening in real life with some oil & gas companies.)

How we built it

We used Scratch and art to put the project together bit by bit, with each person from the team contributing greatly into the project. The total hours spent combined is 22 hours. We used many clever Scratch mechanics to put the game together to be as good as possible.

Challenges we ran into

There were many bugs that were hard to fix and they required out of the box thinking (Literally). The time constraint was a big challenge because we had to race against the clock to finish the project and to work out the bugs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the smooth movement and game mechanics that helped put the game all together. Also about the animation of cutscenes.

What we learned

We learned many new things in the process of making this project. We refined our skills in our previous knowledge, but we also learned how to use many new features like "My Block", Clone Mechanics, and much more!

What's next for Autopilot {An RPG Game}

Maybe a sequel, or just updates.
