Problem Statement : As per theme of Smart City , we decided to bring out and work on the problem of Traffic congestion majorly due to parking issues , specially in conjusted cities as of many Asiatic towns. We made use of technology to develop a desktop based application that helps in management and automation of parking focusing more on small cities.

Technology Used : Core Java Concepts , Swings , Applet, Sql , Networking . API used : Desktop , Google Maps.

Solution and concept of App: The solution to the problem devised is ; inclusion of the Automation system through applications that willbe accessible by common people as well . The person driving his/her automobile can book a slot in his/her preffered parking area before he/she leaves from home and he/she will be provided a unique code(OTP). That particular slot will be reserved for 30 minutes . On reaching the destination , the person through his app has to fill his credentials that include his car number , and that unique code . After verification of both , the slot becomes available(automatic barricate will open ) and entry time will be started . If he / she fails to reach within 30 minutes , the booking will be cancelled. At exit , the verification has to be done again ( for security reasons) , if successful , exit time will be noted and as per charges and thus amount will be automatically deducted through some feasible methods . Also, the app is user friendly as the client can file his/her complaints regarding various issues such as ,blocked vehicle, technicl issues etc and effective help will be provided.

        Also the app includes a feature where a person interested can lease his property as per his preferences, and collaborate 
        with us.  The information has to be filled for the same . 


        On coding part, the app includes a server and a client side with defined user interfaces ( using graphics and swings ).

        The ADMIN on the server side can do the following--
                    1- Add parking locations .
                    2- Decide number of slots for different type of vehicles.
                    3- Edit and delete information of locations in various areas.
