Inspiration

We took inspiration from the Mars Rover and Instagram Reels.

What it does

The Rover uses light sensors to position its solar panel toward the strongest sunlight automatically. It also has a camera that detects and tracks objects by color, combining renewable energy, computer vision, and robotics into one autonomous system.

How we built it

We used 3d modeling, an Arduino kit, parts bought on Amazon, soldering tools, and C++ to build the Rover.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into: not enough materials, issues with the power, and coding.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we worked together to build a rover that can respond to light and track objects.

What we learned

We learned how much planning and testing goes into building a rover. Next time, we'd prepare our materials earlier.

What's next for Autonomous Rover

We want to bring this up to the next level, make it out of better materials, and make it on a bigger scale.
