Inspiration
Our inspiration was seeing everyday people who weren't acquainted with technology not being able to perform simple tasks. Our goal was to simplify the processes of AutoNation as well as make them more accessible.
What it does
Our AutoNation Chat bot allows people to check information regarding all things AutoNation. Such an example would be checking your appointment details or seeing what kind of cars are in stock.
How we built it
We build it using Amazon Lex and integrated it with Twilio to allow for text messaging.
Challenges we ran into
Since we are a first time group of hackers we didn't know where to start but once we got the ball rolling in terms of the project we kept a good pace for the whole weekend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were super proud to be able to integrate Twilio to allow for text messaging. We think this truly empowers our statement of accessibility for all.
What we learned
We learned of the powerful uses of Amazon Lex and the usefulness of working with a team. We accomplished a lot this weekend, not just in the aspect of making this bot but all the people we networked with and all the other information we learned from expos.
What's next for AutoNation Chat Bot
We hope to incorporate AutoNation API to make this a fully functional bot for all store locations and all products.
