Inspiration
Who controls whom—humans controlling AI, or AI controlling humans? automaton explores this question through the lens of algorithmic obedience in daily life. Inspired by Japan's conformist organizational culture and our growing dependence on AI recommendations.
What it does
A 3-minute short film following Tanaka, an office worker in a society controlled by OpenGPT AI through AR glasses. When his resistance threatens his job and marriage, he surrenders—just as the system updates to GPT120.1, forcing absurd commands on everyone.
