Inspiration

The indoor growing business.

What it does

AuTomato takes full control of growing so the user doesn't have to worry about anything. AuTomato keeps track of the plant's CO2, humidity, moisture level, temperature. We can also control the amount of water flowing in based on the moisture level sensor. In the future, we will be able to fully control fans and fan speed, as well as lighting (on/dimmable/off).

How we built it

The front end is built in React, Flask, Socket.IO, and Webpack. The backend is built in Python, with support hardware of Raspberry Pi, and two Arduinos for the sensor information and hardware control.

Challenges we ran into

Not enough sensors. Electrical wiring was new to us all.

Working with limited hardware.

Finishing adding all sensors and creating a fully automated growing system.
