CollabSoft is proud to introduce Automatic Retry for Atlassian Bamboo.
With Automatic Retry for Bamboo you can schedule the automatic restart of failed or incomplete jobs. This allows Project administrators to ensure that jobs that take a long time to complete, depend on the availability of 3rd party services (like FTP) or are running on unstable environments are restarted without supervision.
If a plan continuous to fail, even after the Automatic Retry for Bamboo add-on has restarted failed or incomplete jobs multiple times, the Project administrator can schedule a complete rerun of the entire build. This can help when a job requires a shared artifact from a previous stage which was not available (even though the previous stage succeeded). Rerunning the entire build might solve this issue by recreating the artifact.
If a job depends on a 3rd party service, like an FTP server or the availability of a public Maven repository, it might not be useful to restart immediately after the build fails. The Automatic Retry for Bamboo add-on allows Project administrators to add a timeout between restarts.
