This project presents a user-friendly, fully automated medicine dispenser designed to enhance accessibility and simplify medication management for users of all abilities. Unlike traditional pill organizers that require manual and often error-prone refilling, this device leverages modular compartments and smart scanning technology to automate the entire process.

Users simply place their medicine boxes into modular compartments without needing to follow a strict order. The dispenser’s built-in scanner identifies each medication and syncs with an accompanying mobile app that automatically records what medicine is stored in each compartment. Users or caregivers can create personalized medication schedules manually or by scanning doctor prescriptions, which the system intelligently interprets and uses to organize dispensing times.

The modular design allows for flexible configuration—users can add or remove compartments based on their prescription needs, such as setting up seven compartments for a full week’s supply. This flexibility, combined with precise automated dispensing, reduces the risk of missed or incorrect doses, promoting independence and peace of mind.

The mobile app integrates barcode scanning, optical character recognition (OCR) for prescriptions, and real-time reminders to ensure adherence. Cloud-based data storage and notifications enable remote monitoring and alerts for caregivers, enhancing support for vulnerable populations.

This innovative solution combines mechanical engineering, CAD design, smart automation, and mobile software to revolutionize medication adherence, accessibility, and safety.
