Inspiration
More and more individuals, particularly individuals of younger ages, are engaging in research in the 21st Century. But many lack the statistical knowledge to make conclusions on their data. Our product helps solve this problem by offering an application which helps create intervals and significance testing without needing the user to have deep statistical knowledge. This opens up barriers for many people and will not require intensive study into statistics for research as instead they can rely on this application.
What it does
The Automated Significance Testing software generates intervals and conclusions on the significance of the data based on the data input. Users do not have to pick what algorithm to use for the testing as the software will automatically choose the appropriate test automatically. This makes our software friendly to all types of users so they require minimal statistical knowledge to generate an interval or conclude significance.
How we built it
1.Created code for different types of intervals and significance tests 2.We created the code for users to input their data so we can automatically generate an appropriate interval or use the appropriate significance for their test.
Challenges we ran into
Coding and implementing many of the boring but important conditions for testing significance into code. Also was very time consuming to code so many so many interval and significance tests. (8 unique ones in total)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Both of us are pretty much beginners, so we are proud of making a program based on what we knew in our head.
What we learned
We learned that we should leave some time near end to polish up code.
