Inspiration
The importance of agriculture in the world cannot be over emphasized. Just like every other field agriculture comes with its own problems. Here we have come up with a solution to tackle the most frequent problems associated to agriculture via the use of technology and as such improving it yeilds
What it does
This device or robot will be fully automated and programmed to carry out monitoring activities within the farm land. With the aid of specialized sensors it can check the moisture of the soil, its fertility and it can also alert the farmer when fertilizer should be reapplied to increase the fertility of the soil via text messages and emails. Triggers a system to sprinkle water when the soil is not moist enough.
How I built it
After carrying rigorous research, the development process involves circuits design, C programming language, sensors, programmed micro chips e.t.c
Challenges we ran into
One of the major challenges is shortage of resources especially the monitory aspect of it.
Our Accomplishments
We have be able to come up with a pretty good plan that is cost effective, efficient and feasible.
What we have learned
Coming together and working as a team exposes you to so many ideas and how to tackle a problem from different angles.
