Our goal was to build a practical prototype for a real legal operations problem. The result is an explainable conflict-checking app that demonstrates how automation and structured review workflows can improve legal client intake. It is not a replacement for attorney judgment, but rather a helping hand
(use electron to run the app)
If we continued this project, the next steps would be:
- adding a real backend and database
- supporting authentication and role-based access
- importing data from CRM, matter management, and document systems
- generating exportable reports
- adding graph visualization for entity relationships
- improving matching with embeddings or NLP-based similarity models
- packaging the app as a desktop executable for local law-firm use
