A prototype to prevent overflowing of drains in the monsoons and to detect missing man-hole lids. Smart Drain sends a message to the concerned authority if an overflow is suspected and if a man-hole lid is damaged or goes missing.
We have built using components required : PIR sensor, Arduino Uno Microcontroller board, GSM Module.
Adding smart featue of getting the updates of detecting drains and man-hole lids was a challenge
Proud to have made this. It specially useful in areas which receives high rainfall and also where places are neglected.
I have learnt using PIR sensor, GSM boards and Arduino Uno of how it can be used to automate the functionality and also the input and output pins to connect to the board for successfull transmission.
Next Step to this Smart Drain is to come up with more features and make it more advanced.
