So what’s the problem we’re trying to solve today? Long wait times for automotive service and maintenance.
So how do we address that problem? Well, we believe we can address the problem by leveraging predictive analytics by way of IoT cloud based applications. Resulting multi-pronged solution that makes the entire process more efficient for the customer and the service center.
What it does
Automate is a smart dual view dash cam controlled with voice. It is connected to IBM Bluemix cloud and utilize IBM Speech to Text, Face recognition, Text to Speech, SMS, and other functionality. It streamlines the service process by allowing the vehicle owner to record audio/video of a problem. You can then schedule an appointment through an audio interface and submit the recording with it. It also acts as a dash cam and can take selfies that can be posted to social media. It provides theft protection by taking the drivers picture and uses face recognition to determine if the driver is authorized to use the car.
How we built it
As a team, we utilized Raspberry Pi hardware combined with different programming skills and IBM Bluemix technologies.

Difficulty coming up to speed on utilizing the features in Blue Mix. Not big enough IBM Bluemix cloud community
