In this project, I was in charge of the core system for automated plant health management, its design, development, and implementation. My contributions are as follows:
System Design: I designed the overall functionality of the system. This included the integration of sensor types like soil moisture, temperature, and light sensors as well as control mechanisms for water sprinklers and grow lights.
Circuit and Hardware Setup: I dealt with the wiring and integration of all hardware components, such as the Arduino, sensors, DC motors, LEDs, and the buzzer.
Programming: I wrote all my code in Arduino C/C++ for sensor data processing and execution of the watering of the plants, adjustment of light levels, and temperature management. I.
User Interface (LCD Display): I designed the user interface on the 16x2 LCD, which provides live system status updates. These include soil moisture, temperature, and light readings.
Testing and Debugging: It was tested and debugged extensively in all the peripherals and software to ensure that the sensors were correctly calibrated and that the system worked within the varied conditions.
Documentation: In addition, I also documented the entire project: schematic, code, and an overview of the system for use later or future development.
