Inspiration
Many vehicle owners face difficulties finding reliable mechanics, especially during emergencies like a flat tire or a dead battery. Traditional service centers are often time-consuming and inconvenient. AutoEase was inspired by the need for a quick, organized, and on-demand automobile service platform. The market lacks a structured solution that connects users with nearby mechanics efficiently. By bridging this gap, AutoEase ensures that users get fast and hassle-free assistance whenever needed.
What it does
AutoEase is a seamless platform that connects users with nearby mechanics and automobile service providers. Users can request roadside assistance, repairs, petrol delivery, and more, all from a single app. The app offers a dual interface—users can locate services and book repairs, while mechanics receive job requests and manage bookings. Real-time tracking and secure payments ensure a smooth and transparent service experience. This simplifies automobile maintenance and emergency assistance like never before.
How we built it
The app was developed using React Native/Flutter for the frontend and Node.js with Express/Firebase for the backend to ensure scalability and real-time updates. Google Maps API was integrated for real-time tracking of mechanics and service locations. The development process followed a structured approach, starting with research & UI/UX design, followed by backend API development, frontend implementation, and extensive testing. Overcoming challenges like optimizing location tracking and real-time communication was a crucial part of the journey.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully built a fully functional MVP (Minimum Viable Product) with real-time service tracking and secure payment integration. The app provides a user-friendly interface for both users and mechanics, ensuring an intuitive experience. Additionally, we onboarded mechanics and service providers for early testing, validating our platform's effectiveness. These achievements mark a significant step toward revolutionizing on-demand automobile services.
What we learned
Through user feedback, we discovered that speed and efficiency are the top priorities for customers needing automobile assistance. Mechanics, on the other hand, require an efficient request management system to handle incoming jobs effectively. On the technical side, we gained expertise in real-time tracking using Google Maps API, managing push notifications, and optimizing database performance for faster response times. These insights will help us improve AutoEase further.
What's next for AutoEase
We plan to expand to more cities, onboard additional mechanics, and introduce AI-based service recommendations to enhance user experience. Subscription plans will be introduced for premium users with exclusive benefits. We also aim to integrate IoT-based vehicle health diagnostics, allowing users to monitor their car’s condition in real-time. Additionally, partnering with insurance companies for breakdown assistance programs will provide users with even greater reliability and security.
