Inspiration
We took inspiration from the spaced repetition flash card program, Anki.
What it does
We created our own spaced repetition algorithm comprised of the SM-2 (Super-Memo) algorithm, Leitner System, the 15 minute study method, and Anki's spaced repetition algorithm.
How we built it
This was built using Python, Django, HTML, CSS, and Java Script.
Challenges we ran into
We originally started this project utilizing Taipy but we later discovered that Taipy is better suited for Data and Statistics which was not what we were looking for. We switched to django for the remainder of the project which introduced time constraints issues but we adapted.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
All of us did not know how to code using Taipy, although we ditched it in the end, we learned quite a lot about Taipy and what circumstances it should be used in.
What we learned
We all learned how to use Django, and 2 of the 5 of us learned how to use HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript. We adapted to the current trend of ChatGPT and utilized in our code despite not knowing much about ChatGPT and machine learning integrated into programs.
What's next for Autocards
We plan to finalize the link between each page and introduce users to our program.
