I’m the founder of Auto Vital Solution, based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh—a small but busy city in central India. For years, I managed my father's long-standing transport business, handling a fleet of 40+ vehicles.

It sounds manageable until you realize how chaotic it gets: every truck, pickup, and van has its own maintenance cycle, drivers, documentation, daily expenses, unexpected repairs, and breakdowns. Despite all the data I tried to keep (manual registers, Excel files, WhatsApp photos), it always turned into what I now call "data slop"—a huge mess of numbers and notes that provided no real insight or help in making better decisions.

I created Auto Vital Solution (AVS) out of pure frustration. My inspiration was simple: if I, running a mid-size fleet in a smaller city, was struggling, thousands of similar fleet owners across India (and beyond) would be facing the same problems—too much unstructured data, no actionable insights, and a constant fear of missing something crucial (like an expiring permit or a truck that’s about to break down).

What It Does Auto Vital Solution is a smart fleet health & documentation platform, designed for small to mid-size fleet owners who are underserved by bulky enterprise systems.

Trip Management: Tracks every trip, driver, route, refueling, expenses, and automatically analyzes mileage.

Maintenance Tracking: Links every vehicle’s repairs, part replacements, and downtime, with reminders for upcoming service and analytics for vendor/spare brand performance.

Document Automation: Stores and auto-reminds for all paperwork—insurance, RC, permits, fitness—so nothing ever expires unnoticed.

AI Alerts: Uses Google Maps and internal rules to flag route deviations, abnormal expenses, and potential breakdowns.

WhatsApp/Email Notifications: Sends critical reminders and allows sharing vehicle info instantly.

Analytics Dashboard: Shows actionable fleet health, cost per km, best/worst drivers, savings opportunities, and more.

All this is accessible through a mobile-friendly web app, built for the realities of Indian transporters—where staff may switch between phone and desktop, and need fast, simple tools.

How We Built It Platform: Built on Bolt.new, leveraging their rapid app-building and seamless Supabase integration.

Backend: Used Supabase for authentication, real-time data, and document storage.

APIs: Integrated Google Maps API for geocoding and route intelligence, and WhatsApp/SMS APIs for instant communications.

Front-end: Fully customized React-based UI, with dynamic dashboards, forms, and validation (including regional language fields).

DevOps: Deployed via Nectify/Squarespace, routed to a custom domain (app.autovitalsolution.com).

Collaboration: Managed via GitHub, with regular updates and versioning.

Challenges We Ran Into Complex Data Relationships: Connecting trips, drivers, vehicles, and documents without creating data silos or duplicate entries.

Mobile + Desktop Usability: Indian transport businesses use both, often on older devices or patchy internet. Making the app light and intuitive was a real challenge.

Automating Reminders: Syncing reminders for document expiry and service events—especially with varying regional workflows—needed a lot of iterations.

API Integrations: Getting Google Maps, WhatsApp, and Supabase storage to play well together was tricky, especially under real-world usage and rate limits.

Scaling for Real Use: Handling real, messy transporter data (misspelled vehicle numbers, missing records, etc.) forced us to add layers of validation and fallback logic.

Accomplishments That We Are Proud Of Launched a working, mobile-friendly app that’s already in use by real transporters (not just a prototype!).

Built a data model that ties together every vehicle, trip, document, and maintenance log, making insights possible for the first time.

Enabled AI-powered alerts for route deviation and expense anomalies—a first for many mid-size operators in our region.

Created WhatsApp integration for instant info sharing, document reminders, and more.

Made it possible for users to store all their fleet paperwork digitally, with reminders—solving one of the most painful daily headaches.

What We Learned Real fleet management is 80% about solving small, recurring pain points: Forget fancy features—users value reminders and auto-filled forms more than “big data.”

Mobile-first is not optional: Our users work from the road, and expect everything to work on their phones first.

Regional context matters: Indian fleet operators need flexibility—documents, languages, workflows all vary widely.

APIs save time but also break in unpredictable ways: Building resilient integrations (with retries and fallbacks) is critical.

Feedback cycles with real users are gold: The best improvements came from watching how real operators used (or struggled with) the system.

What's Next for Auto Vital Solution AI-Driven Predictive Maintenance: Deeper analytics to predict part failures and maintenance needs, using real usage patterns.

Custom App for Each Fleet: Personalized dashboards and workflows as we onboard more clients across India.

More Integrations: Adding e-invoicing, GST, and regional permit APIs for compliance automation.

Voice and Chatbot Features: For hands-free data entry and support, even for staff with low digital literacy.

Scaling: Rolling out AVS to hundreds of transporters across India, starting with mid-size fleets in under-served regions.
