💡 Inspiration Short-form video content like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts has become essential for businesses and creators. But creating these videos manually — from writing a script to editing — takes time, tools, and skills. We wanted to automate that process and make video creation as simple as typing a product description and uploading a few assets.
🚀 What it does Auto Reel Generator converts a product description and media (images or videos) into a ready-to-post, platform-styled short video (Reel or Short). It automatically:
Generates a short script or caption using AI
Builds scenes using uploaded visuals
Adds transitions, background music, and styled text overlays
Exports the video in 9:16 format, optimized for Instagram or YouTube
🛠 How we built it We used the following tools and technologies:
Adobe Express SDK to build the add-on interface and handle design elements
GPT-4 to generate short scripts and dynamic captions
Firefly / AI tools to style visuals or generate placeholder assets
FFmpeg + Web APIs to stitch together visuals, add transitions, and export video
HTML/CSS/JavaScript for a responsive front-end website
Lottie animations for smooth transitions and preview effects
