Inspiration
We decided to make our project because we felt a need for a personal stylist that is affordable and convenient. There are many personal stylists available on the market, but most of them are expensive and take a long time for results. Thus, we decided to make a website that utilizes AI to style the user with just a few inputs.
What it does
Our website takes inputs from the user, such as their height, weight, and job roles, and outputs a styling recommendation for the user.
How we built it
We first wrote the HTML file and the CSS file for the format of the website, and then we used JavaScript to ensure that the website is responsive to user inputs. We then integrated OpenAI into our project, which was used to generate custom recommendations for the user.
Challenges we ran into
We were not able to successfully integrate OpenAI with our website, so when the user clicks on the "Get Recommendations" button at the bottom, it does not give the styling recommendation as intended.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite technical challenges, we are proud of the progress we made, such as developing a clean and interactive front end, ensuring that once operational, our platform will deliver a seamless user experience.
What we learned
We learned the process of creating a website as well as how to use the OpenAI API in projects.
What's next for AuraFit
We hope to fix the technical difficulties and make our website fully functional. We also hope to use GPT-4 in the future so that we can have the user input images of themselves to make our styling recommendations more accurate.
