The idea for Aura came from recognizing the need for a dedicated tool to address the unique safety challenges faced by women. I wanted to create more than just an app—we aimed to provide a dependable resource for real-time support and accessible information, all with a sense of empowerment and ease of use. With Aura, I hope to create a practical solution that women can rely on during both everyday moments and times of need.

Aura combines essential safety tools and supportive resources all in one place. The app provides users with quick access to emergency services, location-based safety recommendations, and a chatbot for mental health support and guidance. My goal is to make Aura a go-to app for personal security and mental well-being, offering both real-time assistance and empowering resources.

I began by designing Aura in Figma, focusing on a user-friendly, intuitive interface. Every feature is designed with user-centered principles in mind to create a meaningful, reliable experience. It would be nice in the future using Google’s advanced tools, such as Gemini and Gemma integrate features that localize resources and personalize support based on users' locations.

I think the biggest challenge that I started to late and didn't join any team, that's way it can be done what I planned or would love to do.

I am particularly proud of creating an app that combines both safety and mental health support in a single platform. I think Aura is supportive and easy to use, which was a critical goal from the beginning. I'm proud to have created an app that has the potential to make a real difference in users' lives.

Despite thoroughly reviewing all shared resources and watching every video on Google products, I still found it challenging to develop a fully AI-integrated app.

Looking forward, our aim is to make Aura fully functional as a responsive app that serves users globally. Key next steps include integrating Google Maps API to enhance location-based safety features and further training our chatbot to provide sensitive support and mental health guidance. By refining these core functions, I'm committed to making Aura a comprehensive, reliable tool that empowers women with accessible and practical safety resources.
