We spend thousands on clothes but wear only 20% of them. We spend hours packing for trips. We have no idea what our clothes actually cost us per wear.

AURA was born from one question: what if your wardrobe finally had a brain?

What it does

AURA is an AI stylist that lives in your phone. It combines virtual try-on technology with AI intelligence to transform how you interact with your wardrobe.

✦ AI Style Scoring Ask Claude to score your outfit for your specific occasion — date night, job interview, brunch. Color harmony, occasion fit, balance, style coherence — and one specific tip to make it better. Not a generic rating. A real stylist in your pocket.

🧳 Pack My Bag Give AURA your travel itinerary day by day. AI plans your entire trip wardrobe in seconds — from your own clothes. Beach day, temple visit, fancy dinner — every outfit sorted before you open your suitcase.

It calculates cost per wear:

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Layering outfits — trying on a top then a bottom required uploading the first try-on result back to Perfect Corp as the new source image for the next try-on.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Built a fully working virtual try-on app with real clothes in under 48 hours
  • Two AI APIs working seamlessly together — Perfect Corp + Claude — creating something neither could do alone

What we learned

  • Perfect Corp's API produces incredibly realistic fabric rendering — leather, knitwear, satin all look authentic
  • Claude Vision is remarkably good at fashion analysis — occasion-specific scoring feels genuinely useful
  • The combination of two AI APIs creates something neither could do alone

What's next for AURA

  • Style DNA — "You're 70% minimalist, 20% chic, 10% edgy" — Claude analyses your saved looks and tells you your personal aesthetic
  • Social wardrobes — browse and virtually try on your friends' clothes before borrowing
  • Shop the gap — AI identifies what's missing from your wardrobe and recommends specific pieces
