Inspiration
Reading people is hard. Emotional intelligence is vast and hidden. We were inspired by the lack of EQ for people our age as navigating social situations has become increasingly difficul. After the pandemic, it became harder for young adults and young professionals to accurately guage and engage in social situations.
How it works As a wearble device with an accompanying app, Aura operates by assessing the emotional states of those around you, allowing you to better carry conversation, as well as become more self aware and engage in conversations more actively.
How we made it
We built aura using Figma, FigmaMake, as well as other generation tools.
Challenges we faced
We ran into challenges when trying to make a cohesive design that would not infringe on the privacy of others. For that reason, Aura has built in safe guards to ensure a smooth user expeirence for all involved.
What we accomplished
We are proud of how we brought the idea to life! Through videos and prototypes, Aura feels real.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned a lot about the hidden emotions people have and how to encapsulate them.
What's next for Aura
Aura will hopefully continue to grow after this project
