Aura

Aura is a powerful platform for tracking the mood of your team for promoting a better wellbeing.

Background

As a leader, it can sometimes be difficult to understand how the members of your team are feeling. Asking the team members up front may not be an option for an honest response. Thus, being able to track the mood of the members within the team either by name or anonomously. Mood can have a negative impact on your team culture, and therefore it becomes highly important to be aware of how the team is feeling which could help make the team more efficient.

The Solution

A platform for leaders to manage their teams through tracking the mood of their members. This means that they are able to cater their leadership towards an individual accordingly. For example, if a person in the team reports feeling sad, the leader can then be extra supportive and understanding of that individual. There are a lot of unhappy people in the workplace, and managers are the key to creating a better atmosphere while promoting agile project management. Another use case for this platform is in the sports industry where coaches can have better insight on their athletes to cater the training to accordingly.

Features

With a simple click, a text message will be sent out to your team with a question and a set of options relating to their mood. The question can be sent in the morning, or at any other time of the day and the frequency can be adjusted. Below is an example, however, this can be customized:

Hey! Aura here. I would like to check up on how you are feeling about today?

  1. Bad day
  2. Hard day
  3. Average day
  4. Good day
  5. Excellent day

Please answer with a number between 1-5.

  1. Awe I'm sorry to hear that. Would you like tell me why?
  2. That doesn't sound too good. Is there a reason for this you'd like to comment on?
  3. Okay, do you have any comments you'd like to share?
  4. Good to hear! Would you like to share more?
  5. Wohoo that is amazing! What makes you say that?

The results will then be displayed on the Aura platform and the team leader will be able to track the mood of his or her members over time. The team leader can choose for this data to be provided anonomously or not.

Beachhead

Collaboration is of increasing importance in industry and thus our main target is large organizations which hope to receive better analytics on their employees.

This platform can have many applications, essentially any team could benefit from better understanding of their members such as:

  • professional teams
  • sport teams
  • classroom
  • project teams

Future Use

Through tracking a large number of individuals over a longer period of time, this can provide valuable insights on the health of your organization. Different strategies can be put in place to improve the overall culture at your organization and better analytics on specific teams can provide further understanding on how your organization is doing.

Future features:

  • Daily quotes/ updates.
  • Voice recognition of mood.
  • Text the manager directly with the person that have low scores (or all of them) - notifications.
