Inspiration

Planning an event often means dealing with many vendors, calls, messages and bookings.

We wanted to solve this problem with one simple platform. This led us to build AuraGrand, a smart event management platform that brings together event planning, service discovery, bookings and AI assistance.

Our goal is simple: make event planning easier, faster, and more organised.

What it does

AuraGrand connects users with event managers and service providers on one platform.

Users can:

Create and manage events
Find event managers
Discover services
Book service providers
Track their bookings
Get AI-powered planning help

The platform supports services such as catering, varmala, cakes, bouquets, decoration, photography, makeup, and music.

It also provides separate dashboards for users, event managers and service providers.

An AI assistant helps users plan their events and get personalised recommendations.

How we built it

We built AuraGrand as a full-stack web platform.

The platform is divided into different parts:

Frontend for the user interface and dashboards
Backend for application logic and data handling
Cloud database for storing users, events, services, and bookings
Authentication for secure user access
Role-based access for users, event managers, service providers, and admins
Gemini AI for the event planning assistant

The main workflow is:

Create Event → Discover Services → Select Provider → Book → Manage → Get AI Assistance

We designed the system so that different users get different dashboards and permissions based on their roles.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was bringing different parts of event planning into one system.

We had to design separate workflows for users, event managers, service providers, and admins.

Another challenge was managing bookings and keeping the user experience simple while handling multiple services.

Integrating the AI assistant was also a challenge where we got many errors in the starting. We wanted the AI to be useful for actual event planning instead of being just a basic chatbot.

We also had to think about authentication, role-based access, data management and communication between different parts of the application.
