The idea for Aura Care stemmed from real-life challenges faced by people around us—long OPD wait times, missed medication doses, and the overwhelming burden of managing health records. We noticed a glaring gap in simple, secure, and intelligent healthcare support, especially for elders and those in rural areas. With the rise of AI and privacy concerns, we aimed to create a solution that’s both smart and safe. 💡 What it does

Aura Care is a secure, all-in-one mobile health assistant. It enables users to:

Track real-time OPD queues and doctor availability.

Scan prescriptions using OCR and get medication reminders.

Chat with an AI assistant trained in general medical knowledge.

Store encrypted health records and personal notes.

Get daily health tips and emergency first-aid guides.

Sync and access health data offline with push notifications.

The app is designed to be privacy-first, user-friendly, and accessible to all age groups. 🛠️ How we built it

Frontend: Built with React Native + Expo for smooth cross-platform UX and subtle animations.

AI Chat: Integrated GPT-based assistant with custom healthcare-safe prompts.

Encryption: Used AES-level local encryption and IPFS (via Nodely) for decentralized storage.

Backend: Firebase for real-time database operations, scheduling, and auth.

Notifications: Expo push notifications for med alerts and appointment reminders.

Design: Soft, calming UI with modern fonts like Hezaedrus and accessibility in mind.

Ensuring encryption without sacrificing usability and sync.

Making the AI assistant helpful without overstepping ethical or medical boundaries.

Dealing with unreliable or unavailable hospital APIs for OPD tracking.
