Inspiration

University students and faculty repeatedly search through handbooks, circulars, placement notices, academic regulations, emails, and departmental documents to find reliable information. Important deadlines and eligibility conditions can easily be missed because the information is scattered across multiple sources.

What AURA Does

AURA is an autonomous university RAG agent designed to retrieve information only from trusted university documents and convert it into useful actions.

AURA is being designed to:

  • Answer questions using approved university sources.
  • Track academic, placement, scholarship, examination, and administrative deadlines.
  • Check student eligibility using CGPA, branch, graduation year, and other requirements.
  • Create personalized action plans and application checklists.
  • Draft emails and administrative requests.
  • Alert students or faculty only when a decision or approval is required.
  • Keep a human in control before sending messages or performing sensitive actions.

Planned Workflow

AURA will ingest approved university documents, retrieve relevant evidence using RAG, reason through the request with Strands Agents SDK, and invoke specialized tools for eligibility checking, deadline tracking, document drafting, and notifications.

Development Status

AURA is currently under active development for the Agents for Humans Hackathon. The final implementation, technical learnings, challenges, architecture, screenshots, repository, and working demonstration will be added as development progresses.
