Inspiration
We were inspired by the struggles of millions of Indonesian single mothers who must leave their children unattended while working, and the untapped potential of foster youth living in under-resourced orphanages. We wanted to design a solution that connects these two overlooked communities through empathy and empowerment.
What it does
Aupairly is a digital platform that connects single parents with trained teenage foster youth — called pairners — to provide affordable, monitored childcare. It empowers both parties by offering support for parents and purpose for youth.
How we built it
We designed a user flow that includes parent registration, AI-based pairner matching, in-app chat and scheduling, and safety monitoring features. The prototype was developed using Figma and structured with input from real-world childcare and NGO workflows.

Code integration and UI Design
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud to have built a functional prototype that reflects real societal needs and proposes a sustainable, double-impact solution. Our platform doesn’t just solve a problem — it empowers lives.
What we learned
We learned how technology can bridge deep-rooted social gaps when built with empathy. We also gained insights into ethical design, inclusive care models, and the importance of trust in community-based platforms.
What's next for AuPairly
We plan to validate the model with local orphanages and single-parent communities, then launch a pilot in two urban areas. Our goal is to scale Aupairly with support from NGOs, CSR initiatives, and government programs.
