Inspiration
I Have Always Been Fascinated By Pokemon Go, But The Game Had Very Limited Real-World Interaction, So I Always Wanted To Make A more Immersive Augmented Reality Game.
What it does
The App Launches The Game And Then With The Help Of Phones Camera Augments A VIrtual Environment Onto The Real World Where The Zombies Spawns In Waves, After Which The Player Can Move Around The City And Tap On The Screen Where They Can See Zombies To Kill Them And Defend The City.
How I built it
I Started By Reading About Google ArCore SDK And How To Integrate It In Unity, Then After Designing The Graphics For The Environment I Jumped Into Coding The Logic In C#
Challenges I ran into
Having NO PRior Knowledge About Google ArCore It Was Hard To Wrap My Mind Around And It Was Tough To Set Up The Environment For The SDK, But It Eventually Became Easy And I Had A Lot Of Fun Making It.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The Final Product Came Out Better Than I have Imagined And The Game Is Very Addictive With Increasing Difficulty Curve, And With Real Word Like Interaction With The Virtual Environment.
What I learned
There Is So Much To Learn More But I Feel Like I Have Taken My First Step Towards Augmented Reality Concepts.
What's next for Augmented_Defenders
I Would Like To Improve The Enemies Type And Make Some Cool GUI And Graphics with OTher Maps For The Playes To Play
