Inspiration
I’m building a web dev agency, and I wanted a way to offer real value to potential clients upfront. A lot of business owners know their website has issues but don’t know what or why. That’s what sparked the idea for Auditly — a tool that quickly shows what’s working and what’s not on any website.
What it does
Auditly audits any website for SEO, performance, design, and mobile responsiveness. Then, it uses AI to explain the results in simple language — no tech jargon, just clear insights business owners can act on.
How I built it
I used: Next.js for the full stack Playwright to crawl and analyze websites Gemini API to generate plain-English reports
Challenges we ran into
Handling websites with dynamic content Tuning the AI prompts to be clear and helpful Keeping audits fast while still detailed
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Launched a working MVP in just a few days Made something that real business owners could use right away Proved we could combine automation and AI in a practical way
What I learned
How to use Playwright for real-world site analysis How to make AI outputs user-friendly The value of building tools that solve simple, real problems
What's next for Auditly
I plan to host it then keep improving the reports and use Auditly as a lead generation tool for my agency — helping businesses understand their site and how we can help improve it.
