Inspiration
Our team is a group of Canadian citizens concerned about the rise in terrorism over the past few decades. Seeing this, we have decided to provide a new resource to security agencies for detecting terrorist plots before occur.
What it does
Takes an audio file (.wav) as input from the user (it can also take multiple files at the same time). Then, it outputs the names of the files that have been determined to be suspicious in the sense that they contain conversations relating to terrorist activities.
How we built it
We used AI models to determine if an audio file contained words that indicated terroristic discussions.
Challenges we ran into
Connecting the frontend (audio file submission and outputting the result) to the backend (audio file analysis).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making our hack capable of analyzing multiple audio files at once, thus helping boost productivity of security agencies that use our software.
What we learned
How to use AI to analyze audio files, how to allow users to upload audio files
