I was inspired by the audio editing tools that we see a lot today. I wanted to create something that can be engaged with for people interested in creating music.

What it does

The program asks the user for the duration of the audio clip they want to create. Then, the user enters in all the notes in the order of when they would appear. After all the notes are entered in, the final audio clip is played.

How we built it

I used java in eclipse to build the entire program. The program was built using arrays, switch statements, classes, loops, functions, and conditionals. Some of my methods include the playSound method, the addNote method, and the getHertz method.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges include figuring out how to make sure that the duration of each note is the same as one count. This is something that still needs to be perfected.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of figuring out how to create a double with the hertz values that can store the audio which can later be played.

What we learned

I learned a lot about the usage of the Standard Audio library and its applications.

What's next for Audio Inputting

I plan on perfecting the current features and adding new elements like tempo and rhythm.
