Inspiration
I recently had to help my parents move, and while I was selling the unwanted stuff we had on Marketplace, I've noticed that because the deals can only be done through DMs, it was the seller in charge of deciding who to sell to. Many times I would get multiple people asking for one thing, not knowing
What it does
It is an online shopping platform that shows the deals currently being made. With this, it would show who wants to buy the item to the public, and how much they are willing to pay, so that there would be less management done by the seller, and like a regular auction, the prices can be more negotiable when everyone can see it.
How we built it
We used React for the front end and tried to use MySQL for the database, but due to the time crunch, we had to abandon MySQL.
What's next for AuctiOnline
We hope to implement the database for more items available, and also make the auction board update in realtime.
