Inspiration

Was inspired by the opportunity to learn more coding languages. Our former team member, Jacob, pushed to do web development. So, we tried our best to learn HTML and CSS from scratch, using Youtube tutorials and the help of our fellow hackers.

What it does

An interactive website with pictures and blurbs of different beaches around the world. Featuring the famous Cannes, Glass, and Panama beach.

How we built it

Built using HTML & CSS programming. Github used to collaborate with team members. Used Figma to wireframe rough sketch of website design.

Challenges we ran into

Our teammate, Jacob, quit halfway through the project, at approximately 10pm last night. He was the most experienced of us in web development. The rest of us have never coded in HTML & CSS before. We did our best to persist and finish the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of our persistance and willingness to finish the project we started. I'm proud of how far we've come, from never working with VSC, Github, and the specific coding languages used, to developing a website, even if it's not ideal.

What we learned

We learned we are strong ass girl bosses who are able to persist, even when it is easier to give up. Especially feeling unaccommodated and disrespected by our male counterparts in the field. We have found each other as friends, and I'm grateful for the experience to connect with each other.
