Inspiration

A typical college course has around 20 to 50+ students in it. In most classes the professor has to say every students name when taking attendance. With Attendapp, attendance is taken just by simply scanning a QR code.

What it does

[Teacher side] Attend app allows teachers to submit courses and take attendance with one simple click! [Student side] Students just have to scan a QR code to be marked as present! It's as simple as that.

How I built it

I have developed the full api and backend using Laravel and Javascript. The mobile app was built using Swift 4.

Challenges I ran into

Regenerating the QR code every couple minutes was a challenge. I had to regenerate the QR to stop students from just taking a picture of the old QR code and sending it to friends.
