Attendance Tracker

Inspiration

During our last semester we were unable to keep a track of our attendance, because of which many of us paid heavy fines. So to avoid these fines further we made a web application called “Attendance Tracker”. Where students can track their attendance daily and can avoid any heavy fines in future.

What it does

Step-1:- User needs to first Login, if not Signed up yet else Sign up first.

Step-2:- After login users will be directed to the page where they can mark their attendance. 2.a:-They can set the date and mark their attendance for the respective days. 2.b:-The respective subjects will be displayed as per the timetable for that day.

Step-3:-There will be an option on the left bottom of the page where they can see more details about their respective subjects.

How we built it

Our First step was to design our pages and plan about what features our project will have.

Second Step was to implement design using HTML and CSS.

Third Step was to integrate our site to the back-end using PHP and SQL for databases.

Challenges we ran into

Time was one of the biggest challenges we faced during the hackathon, designing and implementing the CSS in a shorter period of time was a difficult task as well as constructing the most efficient and optimal logics in the backend. Integrating HTML,CSS and PHP together was a challenge.But with the deadline closing we were able to solve our problems .

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were successfull in implementing our project in a very short period of time.There are many things to do further but we came up with one of our best.

What we learned

In a Short period of time we were able to learn many things like:-Team building skills,Coordination and Communication skills ,Team management. There was a high pressure throughout the hackathon, but we learned how to handle stress and how to resolve last minute problems.

What's next for Attendance Tracker

If given more time we would implement following things:- 1.We will add more details like branches,year,etc. 2.We will add progress tracker and further details for tracking attendance. 3.Will make site responsive so that it works in a smaller device.
