Inspiration
- Sometimes in college, I saw my professor getting frustrated for taking attendance of 200 people who are present in that class. This process is very painful and we tried to automate this process. Using a QR system ## What it does
- A teacher can sign In to the application; there is no sign-up option in here as they get the id and password on time of onboarding, and no student can take the role of the teacher. After that we made a dashboard, where a teacher can specify their subject as of now we have [ML, OOPS, PROJECTMANAGMENT, DBMS] these create a new table in the backend, and then there is this option of Generate QR. While clicking on this we redirected to a custom form where students have to log in with the college ID. After that there at student's attendance is been taken and stored on a page. ## How we built it
- We made this using the React Ts with the help of Vite (package bundler), and also used the Shadcn component library and Typescript in the front end. And in the backend, we have used Node, Express, and SQL(Postgres SQL) with the Typescript. ## Challenges we ran into
- There are various challenges we had run into such as we can't able to figure out how to make custom tables for every subject. While deploying the application there are deployment errors we ran into. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We made the whole project in the last 2 days from scratch and we are super proud of that. ## What we learned
- We are very new to typescript, so we learned typescript, and also got to know about clerks auth provider and how to work in a team. ## What's next for the Attendance Management System
- Surely this system is not at all secured, We will try to make it secure, also right now we are relying on the 3rd party QR scanner in the future we are planning to make a QR scanner for this specific thing.
