ATS - Attendance Tracking System

The ATS allows the teacher to take attendance in the seconds it takes for a student to walk in the door. Students can also manage their own bathroom passes with this system.

Many other applications outside the classroom - Meetings, conferences, any place/occasion where it benefits you to know at a glance who is where.

Inspiration

For teachers, one of the most onerous tasks to be completed is taking attendance, It's boring, repetitive, disruptive and just annoying. Students are pulled off task, which wastes time. Even more time is wasted in redirecting students after attendance is taken. And if a student needs a pass to go elsewhere (bathroom, another teacher, the office) during a lesson the EVERYONE'S time is disrupted while the teacher writes a pass. It only gets worse when a substitute is involved. (A-A-ron anyone?)

What it does

The ATS takes seconds to take attendance using a scanner, and allows students to manage their passes to the bathroom or elsewhere. Simply scan students' ids
