Inspiration
Years ago, I envisioned an atrium where one could undergo a profound personal transformation. While studying, I conceived a "Museum of a Day That Made Me Happy." In 2004, the metaverse was not yet a mainstream concept, so I imagined a physical structure—a vast inner space of interconnected rooms where lived experience would become the exhibit.
Today, this vision has evolved into the metaversal Atrium of Inner Core, a space for meeting one's most authentic self.
What it does
Upon entering, individuals are met with deep empathy and care. The Atrium's purpose is to uncover the inner core—the original creative seed each person brings into this world. Over time, this core gets covered by layers of trauma, protective mechanisms, unresolved experiences, and social masks.
Our mission is to use a blend of technology, art, sensory modules, psychotherapeutic techniques, and coaching frameworks to guide individuals through a deep cleansing—a "mental reset." This process allows them to reconnect with their essence, reclaim their power, and begin using it for personal and collective good.
How we built it
We designed the project's architecture to translate therapeutic practices, mindfulness, and profound inner work into a structured, technically sound VR experience. Our challenge was to merge the deeply subjective human journey with clear, scenario-based progression, ensuring an emotionally precise and safe process.
Challenges we ran into
The most significant challenge was selecting a key prototype capable of conveying the Atrium's core mechanic across diverse methods and states. Another critical hurdle was ensuring ethics and confidentiality: we are committed to keeping each user's inner journey private, secure, and handled with utmost care, even in a VR format.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have built a prototype that accurately captures the Atrium's core mechanic. Our most important achievement was finding the structural codes and interaction sequences that generate a profound "wow" effect, trigger emotional reconsolidation, and leave a lasting, transformative imprint.
What we learned
Challenges strengthened us and helped uncover our inner resources. To create this project, we underwent a deep personal journey—integrating numerous approaches, techniques, and methods into a single, multi-layered reset system designed to elevate individuals to a new level of being.
